2) Liquid dairy: milk, kefir and drinking yogurt
For liquid dairy products the main choice is the package. Bottles (PET or glass) are filled on TRIBLOCK TF machines, which combine rinsing, filling and capping in one compact monoblock. Gable top cartons are formed, filled and sealed on TF-RPP machines. Pillow bags are formed from roll-fed heat-sealable film on PITPACK liquid packaging machines — a cost-efficient format for fresh milk and kefir.
3) Viscous dairy: yogurt, sour cream, curd and cream cheese
Yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese and cream cheese are filled into ready-made cups, jars and containers. The PASTPACK range covers compact rotary machines, enlarged-rotor machines for buckets and large containers, twin-rotor systems for higher output and multi-lane linear machines. A typical cup line includes cup denesting, dosing, foil sealing, lid placing and date marking.
Loose cottage cheese and other sticky dairy products require special dosing: the AMATA KATE-210-CR multihead weigher and dedicated cottage cheese weighers are designed for this task.
4) Cheese and butter
Cheese blocks, slices and portions are packed in flow pack on LINEPACK and compact flow pack machines, or vacuum-packed on the FORMLINE thermoforming machine for longer shelf life. Grated cheese is packed in pillow or flat bottom bags, and trays with vacuum or MAP are another option for portioned cheese. Butter is formed and wrapped into bricks on the OFB machine. For glazed curd bars, LGS lines combine production and packaging.
